On May 14, 2001, a Notice of Violation and Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalty in the amount of $55,000 was issued for a Severity Level III violation involving the Wachenhut Corporation, a contractor of Union Electric (see EA 01-006), and Union Electric discriminating against a security officer and training instructor for having engaged in protected activity.
